Food Bank

 

The Food Bank is available (by appointment only) for Old Bridge residents in need of food assistance. We are located at the Municipal Complex, One Old Bridge Plaza (in the little red barn).

Hours of Operation
  • Tuesday 10 am to 12 noon 
  • Wednesday 10 am to 12 noon 
  • Thursday 10 am to 12 noon

We qualify individuals based on the income guidelines issued by the federal food stamp program. Income guidelines for 2012 are as follows:

In order to receive assistance, you must have applied for Food Stamps at the Middlesex County Board of Social Services at 732-745-3500.  After applying with Food Stamps, you will need to schedule an appointment with us for an intake. Please call 732-721-5600 ext. 6625 (Diane). You must bring the following information:
  • Two Proofs of Residency (tax bill, current rental agreement, utility bill)
  • Award or Denial Letter from Food Stamps
  • Income Verification (last two consecutive pay stubs, unemployment pay stubs)
  • SSA, SSD, SSI award letter
  • Income Tax Return
  • Child Support/Alimony
  • Interests/Dividends/Pension
Food Drives

We encourage individuals and organizations to conduct food drives to help support the food bank throughout the year. For information on conducting a successful food drive, please call our offices at 732-721-5600 ext. 2022 and a volunteer will help get you started.
