The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

Salute to the flag was followed by roll call.

Statement was made that the meeting was held in accordance with the requirements of the Open Public Meeting Act.

Mark Proudman gave his Treasurer's Report and Bill List for December 2005.

A motion was made by Nick Smolney and seconded by Larry Redmond and unanimously agreed upon for the approval of the December 2005 Treasurer's Report and Bill List.

A motion was made by Nick Smolney and seconded by Larry Redmond and unanimously agreed upon for the approval of the January 2006 Treasurer's Report and Bill List. Mr. Azzarello abstained from the vote.

A motion was made by Larry Redmond and seconded by Nick Smolney and unanimously agreed upon for the approval of the January 11, 2006 Meeting Summary Report. Joseph Arena, Michael D'Agnes, Laheri Mehta, Mark Proudman and Robin Rosen all abstained from the vote.

There was no Executive Director's Report given.

New Business:

Mr. Gillespie informed the Board that the Township was advised by the Jets organization that they have narrowed their search to five township's. They are: Wood-Ridge, Jersey City, Florham Park, Millburn, and Berkley Heights. One of the reasons Old Bridge was not chosen was that the town was just too far. Mr. Gillespie feels we did all that we could do. He met with the real estate people and he also met with Woody Johnson. But, in the end, Old Bridge was just out of their mile radius. The Jets organization was also looking for a location close to a large airport. Even though Old Bridge has an airport, it was not suitable to fit their needs.

Mr. Gillespie open the meeting to the public.

Ms. Seiler asked Mr. Gillespie if Joseph Criscuolo was going to become the new Executive Director of Economic Development Corporation or an employee of the EDC. Mr. Gillespie responded that the EDC committee and members have not made any decisions about the position.

Ms. Seiler also asked Mr. Gillespie if Russell Azzarello is a newly appointed member of the EDC. Mr. Gillespie responded yes, as a Mayor's appointee.

Mr. Gillespie closed the public portion.

A motion was made by Joseph Arena and seconded by Michael D'Agnes to go into Executive Session to discuss personnel matters, at 6:55 p.m.

The Board returned to the public at 7:20 p.m.

A motion was made and unanimously agreed upon to adjourn the monthly meeting at 7:25 p.m.
