. Approval of February 7, 2007 Minutes
Motion to approve the minutes as presented made by Blanche Hoffman, seconded by Owen Henry, all in favor
2. Earth Day
Earth Day to be held on April 21, 2007 from 11:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. Hamburgers will be gotten by Mickey Gross, Garden Farms will donate a box of apples, ShopRite of Old Bridge gave a $20.00 credit toward the purchase of water, and Staples of Hazlet gave pens, pencils and pads.
It was noted that Jim Faczak is concerned about deer damage in the State Park.
Perry Simone will send emails regarding Earth Day to absent OBEC members.
Blanche Hoffman will plan for recognition plaques for Jim Faczak and Greg Remaud.
Old Bridge Township Council meeting date May 7, 2007.
3. ERI Progress Report Karen Longo had filed for a grant with ANJEC. 4. Global Status Report (GM) This item will be put on agenda for May 2, 2007 meeting. 5. Clean-up (DD) This item will be put on agenda for May 2, 2007 meeting. 6. Air and Water Quality Test (PS) Perry Simone reported that the NJDEP Air and Water Quality Testing found no issues at the two Old BRidge sites in questions: Schirra School and Tots and Blocks Nursery School. Perry provided the OBEC with a memo stating the DEP's comments. Copy of memo to be sent to Mayor Phillips. Owen Henry led a discussion regarding the amendment to the Land Development Ordinance as part of the GDP (General Development Plan). Blanche Hoffman attended the ANJEC Conference - Eminent Domain - which addressed potential abuses. 7. Planning and Zoning 01-07P - Dauman Industries (DD) Debbie DePew reported that on March 22 the NJDEP and EPA were at the Dauman site. There were representatives from Old Bridge, Dauman, Ciba, NJDEP, Middlesex Water and the EPA. The decision was made to stop the pallet operation in the area it currently occupies. The EPA could not give the town the letter we were looking for saying that Dauman would not interfere with the clean-up. They were ordered to stop the pallet operation on Monday, March 26. As to date, they are still operating and the town has issued fines for each day they are in operation. 105-06P - Carriage House Crossings The OBEC will forward comments to the Planning Board. 9:50 p.m. - Motion to adjourn the meeting moved by Perry Simone, seconded by Deborah Marquez, all in favor.
