Debbie DePew - Recycling Coordinator 1. Approval of January 9, 2008 Minutes Motion to approve the minutes as presented moved by Blanche Hoffman, seconded by Owen Henry, all in favor. 2. Bills Outstanding No bills to date. 3. Old Bridge Trails Project Mayor Phillips joined in discussion on the Cross Trails Project developing a plan of designated paths for walking and bicycling. Blanche Hoffman explained that ANJEC has set forth a matching grant program for such a project, which has a deadline of March 31 for applications to be submitted. The Old Bridge Environmental Commission members agreed that this project takes priority over updating the ERI. Mayor Phillips suggested the Cross Trails Project could be partially funded with monies in the Old Bridge Open Space Trust Fund. The OBEC would partner with the Old Bridge Planning Department to select a qualified consultant to develop the Cross Trails Project. The Mayor suggested interviewing the professionals already pre-qualified through the Township. Owen Henry will meet with Jim Cleary to discuss further the qualified professionals and what is needed to move forward. 4. Global Remediation In George Millet's absence, this item is tabled for the next OBEC meeting. 5. Tree Ordinance This item tabled for the next meeting. 6. Open Space Wayne Farmer reported the Open Space Committee is in the process of assessing land owned in the township. Updates will be reported when made available. The township website for open space information is gis.oldbridge.com. 7. Recycling Debbie DePew reported that there will be a paper shred at town hall on June 14, and hazardous waste disposal on July 12. 8. Green State Incentive Program - February 14, Keyport Climate Change Public Program - Perry Simone and Debbie DePew will be attending. 9. ANJEC Workshop - no participation Wayne Farmer and Blanche Hoffman will be attending the ANJEC Road Show hosted by the Hazlet Environmental Commission on February 11, 2008. 10.
