Minutes of the Environmental Commission June 2, 2004

1. Approval of May 5, 2004 Minutes
Motion to approve the minutes as presented moved by Wayne Farmer, seconded by Owen Henry, all in favor.
2. Bills Outstanding
Motion to approve payment of $34.95 for purchase of water for Earth Day. Moved by Owen Henry, seconded by Wayne Farmer, all in favor.
3. Adopt-A-Road
Linda Hardy reported the County has a grant program of $200.00 given upon completion of the project. Each group chooses a one mile stretch both side of County road to clean-up. Performance of two clean-ups on the stretch of road during the grant year is done. Each clean-up is approximately two months apart. After the second clean-up, the group will have a sign placed along the roadway they adopted showing their commitment to the community. Copy of the application will be given to Blanche Hoffman for review. Further discussion on the project will be put on the agenda for the July OBEC meting.
George Millet presented a packet from the NJDOT on the New Jersey Adopt-A-Road program for review as well.
4. Environmental Club
Perry Simone will contact Joseph Gurliaccio for an update on the schools position for instituting the club. Perry asks that this item be put on the July OBEC agenda.
5. Imperial Oil
No discussion - for information only.
Perry Simone presented an article regarding Marlboro Township applying for general permits from the DEP to clean parts of the Deep Run stream corridor. Copy will be sent to Old Bridge Township Engineer John Vincenti.
6. Planning and Zoning
101-03Z - Circle Automotive
Tabled for July OBEC meeting.
16-04PF - Royal Realty
Owen Henry reported application was approved.
3-04Z - EA-2 LLC, Block 9000, Lot 37
The OBEC will forward comments to Zoning Board.
15-04Z - C-Way Bus Service
The OBEC will forward comments to Zoning Board.
