Minutes of the Environmental Commission November 2, 2005

1. Approval of October 5, 2005 Minutes
Motion to approve minutes as presented made by George Millett, seconded by Wayne Farmer, all in favor.
2. Bills Outstanding
Motion to reimburse Blanche Hoffman $40.00 for purchase of Nature in Fragments - Publication of Wildlife Conservation Society/Metropolitan Conservation Alliance, made by Wayne Farmer, seconded by Perry Simone, all in favor.
3. ANJEC Annual Environmental Congress Report
Blanche Hoffman gave a reports, which included preserving slopes and wetlands, combating sprawl in which planners should consider economical aspects of plans focused on endangered species.
4. Potential Old Bridge Conservation Club
Deborah Marquez is waiting to hear back about having a senior member of the Sayreville Conservation Club attend an OBEC meeting. Blanche Hoffman will set up a meeting with Ellen Ritchie, Wayne Farmer and Deborah for November 28th.
George Millett will obtain information on the status of the Master Plan. George reported speaking with Debbie Depew and the stormwater management report has been finalized. George queried on what requirements does the Township have as it relates to the maintenance of clean up in the strip mall parking lots. This item will be put on the agenda for the OBEC December meeting for further discussion.
Perry Simone reported ANJEC will be holding a meeting on Soil Surveys December 10, and he will be attending, if possible.
Blanche Hoffman received response from R3M Engineering on replacement of thirty inch (30") Laurence Harbor interceptor, which is in answer to the Environmental Commissions concerns as stated in memo dated October 5 sent to the Old Bridge Municipal Utilities Authority. Anyone interested in reviewing this document can contact Blanche Hoffman. Copy will be sent to Owen Henry.
5. Planning and Zoning
95-04Z - WAWA - Funeral Home - OBEC has no comments.
66-03Z and 57-05Z - Alfieri - moved to Zoning Board meeting November 15.
