Mayor James Phillips 1 . Approval of July 12, 2006 Minutes Motion to approve the minutes as presented made by Wayne Farmer, seconded by Deborah Marquez, all in favor. George Millett and Owen Henry abstained. 2. Bills Outstanding No bills to date. Blanche Hoffman announced ANJEC's 33rd Annual Environmental Congress would be held on October 28, 2006. This item will be included on the OBEC agenda for the October meeting. Those interested in attending should bring in their registration form to the next meeting with the sessions indicated that they would be attending. 3. Old Bridge Day To be held September 20, 2006. The OBEC will be participating. Handouts to include the Conservation Easement pamphlets. Deborah Marquez inquired to whom the litter problem in the Township should be addressed to. Wayne Farmer will e-mail Debbie DePew of the recycling department, with a copy to Mayor Phillips. Chris Flynn-Rozanski, the OBEC high school representative, reported he is involved with the Future Business Leaders of America and could possibly interest the group in participating in the community on an environmental level. Blanche Hoffman will inquire on the status of the Global Landfill capping. Blanche will send a memo to Mayor Phillips with her findings. Wayne Farmer received an invitation to attend the ANJEC Road Show, which is being hosted by the Hazlet Environmental Commission to be held on September 11, 2006. Topics to be discussed are effective environmental commissions, land preservation and land stewardship. George Millett reported that at the last Open Space Committee meeting he attended the committee is compiling a list of ten properties that may be acquired. The Committee is to ask the Township Engineer to break down maps as it relates to Greenway between parks. Gary Szelc reported ANJEC has publications on how to acquire Greenways. The New Jersey Land Trust has publications on how to set up trusts for unused property. 4. Environmental Resource Inventory Racquel Khodash reported Mark Khodash has put together a list of layers to be put into GIS format, and will give to Wayne Farmer so that he may start work on generating an updated ERI. Blanche Hoffman asked the Commission members to have ready for the October OBEC meeting any ideas to be incorporated into the inventory. 5. Planning and Zoning 77-06P - YMCA
