Mayor James Phillips 1 . Approval of September 6, 2006 Minutes Motion to approve the minutes as presented made by Owen Henry, seconded by George Millett, all in favor. 2. Bills Outstanding ANJEC 33rd Annual Environmental Congress - motion to approve payment of $50.00 for Blanche Hoffman to attend Congress made by Perry Simone, seconded by Owen Henry, all in favor. 3. ANJEC Road Show Blanche Hoffman reported the Road Show, which was sponsored by the Hazlet Environmental Commission, discussed, among other items, how to establish tax for open space. 4. Open Space Committee George Millett reported that funds are coming back from Cedar Ridge II, which will go back into the open space fund. Request will be made to the Township for frequent updates as it relates to how much is in the open space fund. George discussed how to use greenways as part of the open space idea. It was queried whether you can establish a greenway from Memorial School and Cooper School, as well as between Cliffwood Beach and Laurence Harbor along Route 35. 5. Old Bridge Day Blanche Hoffman, Perry Simone, Owen Henry, and George Millett attended for the Environmental Commission. Materials on conservation easements were handed out. It was suggested that for next year's Old Bridge Day the OBEC should have maps available to hand out indicating where the parks are located in Old Bridge. Perry Simone suggested to include in the next tax bill newsletter information on when and where to drop off hazardous waste items. 6. Future Business Leaders of America No report due to the absence of Chris Flynn-Rozanski. 7. Environmental Resource Inventory Raquel Khodash distributed Mark Khodash's outline on what layers are to be included in the update of the ERI. Further discussion on this item will be put on the November OBEC agenda. 8. Golf Course Public Hearing The public hearing is for the purpose of extending the lease from 25 to 50 years. Since this term is longer than current Green Acres regulations allow, it must go to a public hearing and subsequent review by the NJ State House Commission. 9. Planning and Zoning 72-06P - Erin Estates
The OBEC will send comments to the Planning Board as it relates to whether or not the developer needs to comply with stormwater management requirements. 66-06Z - Dennis Keller
The OBEC will comment to the Zoning Board that the applicant should comply with the R-5 Zone. 76-06Z - MS Auto
