OLD BRIDGE OPEN SPACE COMMITTEE
Minutes of the July 17, 2006 Meeting

Old Bridge Open Space Committee President Jack Cocozziello called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
A vote was taken to adopt the minutes from the June 26, 2006 meeting. All in attendance voted yes.
Jack read through Jerome Convery’s letter to the group.
The debt service to Cedar Ridge and the total budget of the open space committee was discussed.
We still need to determine what the Preservation Fund Assessment is and if we can obtain funds.
George suggested making a land purchase. He mentioned two possibilities, Industrial Drive which contains approximately 200 acres and is owned by Cifelli Disposal.
The other property is located by Cheesequake Park and is separated from the park by Township owned property.
Jack suggested that we come up with 19 parcels as potential open space and then narrow it down further according to our criteria. Once it is narrowed down to 4 or 5 properties we should put it before Council.
George asked me, Colleen McGurk, to look up outstanding taxes for Block 1051 Lot 2.11 and Block 3230 Lots 50-53. I will have that information for the next meeting. I will also attempt to obtain a map from Middlesex County outlining a bike path for the region.
