Old Bridge Township Open Space Committee

Old Bridge Open Space Committee President Jack Cocozziello called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
Jack Cocozziello read a resignation letter from Kevin Coletti who will no longer be a member of the Open Space Committee.
He discussed his conversation with Himanshu Shah concerning open space funding. We receive approximately $660,000.00 dollars per year which is deposited into a separate open space account. The tax was implemented 3 years ago.
We agreed that all future meetings will be the third Monday of the month at 7pm.
Colleen McGurk stated that the open space referendum has no expiration date after contacting Rose-Marie Saracino, Township Clerk.
Jack read through ordinance 14-89, 2000.
All of the members viewed the Farmland Preservation map.
Lucille Panos left he meeting to attend the Council meeting.
Jack wanted more information regarding the benefits to someone who donates property.
Jack Cocoziello discussed how to disseminate information regarding land donations. Suggestions were putting information on the Old Bridge website, Old Bridge tv channel, newspaper. Colleen McGurk suggested the monthy Old Bridge newsletter, any upcoming township events, concerts, fairs etc.
The mission statement was memorialized. Moved by Jack Cocozziello and seconded by George Millet.
Jack Cocozziello suggested that we should ask additional townspeople to attend one of our meetings. Possibly someone from the Historical Society, Council, the Business Administrator.
The meeting was moved to adjourn by George Millet and seconded by Robert Nagler.
