APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes of the January 25, 2006 meeting were approved.
ITEMS TO BE DISCUSSED
Bill Jenkins enquired about a bike path at Mannino Park be included in the park plan. He read a letter he wrote to the town council and some replies he received from the council members. Tom agreed that a bike path is needed in town and Mannino Park would be a great place to start the path, but that he envisions the path (bike, jogging, equestrian, etc.) to be linked with County property. It would be too costly to change the conceptual plan at this stage.
Denis discussed the nomination for Vice-Chairman and said Joe Dunn would be willing to be Vice-Chairman again. A vote was taken and all members present were in favor.
RECREATION/CAMP ROBIN UPDATE
Tom mentioned Classic TV night is this weekend at the Civic Center. He also talked about Recreation and Camp Robin Programs starting again in March. Twenty medals were awarded at the Special Olympics and award certificates will be given at the next Council Meeting on March 13th. Tom informed the members that the Arena revenues are doing very well. Hockey program is doing very well. Denis mentions that another trophy case is needed at the Arena for all the recent tournaments that Hockey Program is winning.
