RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD MINUTES
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2005
ATTENDANCE
This meeting was called to order at 7:35 pm. In attendance were: Tom Badcock, Steve Donohue, Joe Dunn, Kerry Frew, Jody Huss (arrived 8:05 pm), Robert Larson, Irene O’Kane, Bob Pepe. Judi Silverman was present to take the minutes.
Absent from this meeting were: Lisa Cooney, Ray Battaglino, Isaac Crosson, Fran DiRocco, Denis Kilduff, Ash Patel, Kevin Ruffler and Councilmen Bill Baker, Kevin Calogera and Richard Greene.
Guest Speaker: Pete Pero, Camp Robin Program
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
September minutes are approved.
ITEMS TO BE DISCUSSED:
Pete Pero gave an update on the Camp Robin Program. Programs and staffing issues were discussed.
RECREATION UPDATE
Tom mentions that the Halloween Haunted House is now open and the Halloween Spooktacular will be held this Saturday.
CAPITAL PROJECTS
1. Arena Parking Lot Drainage Issue – Presently getting quotes from contractors, this project will need to go out to bid.
2. Arena Roof – This project is complete.
3. Golf Course – The Redevelopment Agency is working on the agreement.
4. Ticetown Road Field Lighting – This project is complete.
5. Mannino Park – The Freehold YMCA is completing specifics on the agreement. Phase One of Mannino Park should get underway right after the roadway that the County is putting in is complete.
6. Ticetown Soccer Irrigation – This project is complete.
7. Civic Center Fire Suppression System – This bid should be awarded in November.
8. Pension Rd. Irrigation Project – This bid came in $45,000 over what we had budgeted for this project.
9. Geick Synthetic Surface – Engineering Consultant is working on finalization of the cost estimate for this project.
10. Phillips Reserve Park – scheduling for these fields, which would be taken care of by the County, was discussed. Township Recreation Dept. will provide list and schedule requests for Township teams and groups.

Tom mentions that the Haunted House is open and for the members to take a walk-through before they leave.
