Old Bridge Township, New Jersey - Before & After School Program

Late registration will start on Aug. 30 and will end on Sept 1. There is a $25 late registration fee for any registrations received after Aug. 27. Families that sign up by Sept. 1 will still be able to start the program on the first day of school September 7, 2010.

Any registrations received after Sept. 1 will not be able to start until September 13. Fees are not prorated and there is a $25 late registration fee.

How do I register for the Before & After School Program?

If your family is new to the district and/or your child has NEVER been enrolled in the program, here is some information you will need to read regarding the 20010/2011 enrollment year. If you decide that you would like to enroll your child, please make sure you print & fill out the New Student Enrollment Form.

This form needs to be stamped/signed by the school as proof of your enrollment in the Old Bridge public school system. ONLY Old Bridge public school students can attend the Before & After School Program. Once the form is stamped by the school, please bring it to the Before & After School Office, located inside the Civic Center (Richard Cooper Building) next to the Old Bridge Police Station and Old Bridge Senior Center. Our office staff will then enter your information into the database so you can use the Online Registration System (starting in August) to register your child.

You will be responsible for paying each month you wish your child to attend our program. Registration will be done online using the Recreation Online Registration System. If you have already signed up for a Recreation Program, this is the same I.D. you will be using to register for the Before/After School Program. Once you have your ID click on the REGISTRATIONS CODE at the bottom of the page to view the codes assigned to your child's school. Then go to the MY RECREATION PROGRAMS at www.oldbridge.com and sign up for the program you need. If you are unsure if you have an ID, please call us or email us at AfterSchool@oldbridge.com.

Tuition Rates & Other Fees 2010-2011

To view our rates from please click on Monthly Rates to view the 2010 rates. Rates may stay the same or be slightly increased during the year by $5 to $10. Also, under the monthly rates link we have broken down how much your child care costs you per hour each month. However, we don't offer an hourly rate.

Late Registration Fee

Any registrations not received on time will be subjected to a $25 late registration fee per child. Please make sure your payment is made on time.

Late Pick-up Fee

Any parent/guardian who picks up there child(ren) after 6:00 p.m. will pay a late pick up fee. To view the late pick up fee charges click here.

Once you have received your ID & Password click HERE to view and print out our step-by-step instructions. The registration will take only a few minutes.

Payments: Payment is made ONLINE ONLY by Credit Card/Debit Card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover). We DON'T automatically deduct your tuition payment. It is up to you to remember to enroll and pay for every month you want your child enrolled in our program.

Refund Policy

A refund will be given ONLY if written notice is received in a timely manner. Written notice must be given 2 weeks prior to the month of service. If you decide you don't need the service for a particular month, but would like your registration to be rolled over to another month, you must also submit this is writing 2 weeks prior to the change in service. Notification received later than this will result in NO refund given and NO rollover of your tuition to another month.

Additional Information about the Before & After School Program

The Before/After School program is a non-profit program sponsored by Old Bridge Township. Please read over the entire webpage. There are also links at the bottom of the page that contain more information such as cost, hours of operation and our policies. Please do not contact the Board of Education if you have questions since they are not responsible for our program.

Our program is supported by parent tuition fees only. The parent/guardian/custodian will be responsible for payment of any fees from enrollment until withdrawal from the program. All tuition fees must be kept current in order for child care services to be provided. Activities will include homework time (45 minutes to do homework in a quiet environment), organized games, special arts & crafts projects, and movies.

Breakfast will not be served in the Before School Program. However, you may send your child with a nutritious snack/meal. We don’t provide utensils, microwave to heat up food, or refrigeration. The After School Program does provide a daily snack and drink for your child. Care is available on all scheduled half days at NO extra cost. It does not operate when school is closed for the day or in the event of an emergency school closing. In case of a delayed school opening, Before School child care will be cancelled, but After School care is held as usual until 6:00 pm. Enrollment is open to children in grades K-8.

**SPECIAL NOTES**

If you need Before and After School but only need Before for 3 days and After for 5 days, you must choose the Before and After Combination for 5 days. If you need Before for 5 days and After for 3 days, you still must also enroll in the Before/After combination for 5 days.
