The Old Bridge Economic Development Corporation is a non-profit corporation established in 1982 to act as a resource for new business and industry; to help promote retention and expansion of existing businesses; to improve and expand the Township's ratable tax base; to develop and maintain an inventory of available properties and sites suitable for economic development and to promote positive economic growth dialogue in the community.
The Old Bridge Economic Development Corporation also includes the following goals as part of its mission:
- Act as a liaison between Township agencies and businesses to cut through red tape associated with relocation or expansion.
- Maintain and update a database of Township businesses.
- Promote and aid businesses in an effort to "Go Green" by improving their environmental efficiency.
- Seek out and recommend projects to the Township governing body that result in positive economic growth.

The economy in Old Bridge continues to grow with the addition of seven new grand openings in the Township. Mayor James Phillips, along with many dignataries, participated in the ribbon cutting ceremonies at the following new locations:
