OVERLAND FIELD RECONNAISSANCE FOR THE FEMA NEW YORK AND NEW JERSEY COASTAL RESTUDY

OVERLAND FIELD RECONNAISSANCE FOR THE FEMA NEW YORK AND NEW JERSEY COASTAL RESTUDY

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), partnered with ARC PTS Joint Venture and WSP USA, is currently preparing a coastal study for New York and New Jersey. They will be in the field during May 2023. Survey staff will carry photo identification and a FEMA letter detailing the purpose of their activities. The crews will be taking field measurements and photographs along the Laurence Harbor and Cliffwood Beachfronts. While collecting field data, individuals from the above firms will make every effort to stay on public land and rights-of-way; however, it may be necessary from time to time for the field team to enter upon privately owned property for short periods of time to gather information.
