The Old Bridge Public Library seeks a Full-Time Manager of IT to join our team. The successful candidate will advise the Library Director on technology and related matters, as well as ensure that computers and associated technologies are available for use at all times, along with managing Digital Support Services staff and instructing employees and patrons in the use of technologies. They should demonstrate exceptional customer service and training skills, with desire to serve a culturally diverse population.
Responsibilities:
· As a Manager, this position requires scheduling, designating and evaluating tasks to assigned staff, and being the person in charge of the library on occasion
· Providing assistance to the public, primarily at the Computer Information Desk
· Facilitating technology related programming for adults
· Participating in community outreach services
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Degree and/or certification in a computer science related field from an accredited institution or demonstrated equivalent industry experience
· At least 3 years of experience in computer network operations, maintenance, and repair
· Proficiency in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office, Android and iOS software and devices
· Employment is contingent on passing a background check
Preferred Qualifications:
· Demonstrated experience with technology in public library environments
This Full-Time position is for 70 hours bi-weekly and includes daytime, evening, and weekend hours. Annual salary is $70,318.91 per collection bargaining unit and includes an excellent benefits package. Employees in this category are represented by AFSCME NJ Council 63, Local 3231 and contribute to the pension system.
