OFFICIAL STATEMENT
We are saddened to announce the passing of former Police Lieutenant Joseph
Cavasin. Joseph served the Old Bridge community as a police officer from 1963-
1989, retiring as a Lieutenant.
Mr. Cavasin enjoyed spending his time collecting mini cars and riding in his 1963
Red Corvette. He was an honorary member of the Friendly Sons of Sheillaigh here
in Old Bridge Township. Later in life, Joseph started playing and enjoying golf. He
always enjoyed a good meal and watching old western movies. Joseph will be
missed by all those that love him.
Please note all Township flags will be at half-staff on February 16, 2024 in honor
of Mr. Cavasin. We send our deepest condolences to Joseph’s family and friends
during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them all.
