Please be advised that there will be some drilling work being done by the EPA at the Laurence Harbor beachfront starting Monday (December 8th).
The schedule is as follows:
Dec. 5 - Contractors will be dropping off equipment and stage it on the “closed” beach.
Dec. 8 - EPA, Weston and drilling contractors will be on-site to mount the drill rig onto the track dump truck/underground utility marked will occur at locations on the beach.
Dec. 9 - Drilling is planned to begin.
Dec. 10-12 - Drilling will continue. No weekend work is anticipated at this time.
Dec. 15-19 - Drilling will continue. The goal is to be done by Dec. 17.
The work will be done during low tide. There will be no disruption of the parking lot by the recreation center. PD, OEM, Parks and Recreation, and Public Works have all been notified as well.
