Middlesex County contractors, Schifano Construction will be milling and paving Matawan Road (aka Laurence Parkway) Middlesex County Route 626, from the Garden State Parkway overpass to the NJTransit Railroad overpass.  Work will begin tonight October 5, 2026, for a two (2) night duration, beginning at 7pm to 5am, weather permitting.    During the day time hours of Tuesday, October 6, 2026 the roadway will be opened to thru traffic in both directions.    During all milling and paving operations, emergency vehicles and local residents will be accommodated without delay to ensure continued emergency and home access through the work zone.

Motorists should use caution when traveling through the work area and follow all posted signs and direction from construction personnel or avoid area if possible.
