Hands in Garden

Food insecurity in America has become a critical issue for thousands of families throughout the country.  Old Bridge residents have a way in which they can support the needs of families who are seeking access to fresh fruits and vegetables.  The program, Plant A Row for the Hungry encourages gardeners to plant one extra row and donate that produce to local food banks.

The process is simple:

  1. As the growing season takes place, plant one extra row of various produce.
  2. When the produce is ready, donate to a local collection site.

Old Bridge Township Food Bank will accept donations of fresh produce on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10am to 12pm.  This is an easy way for residents to support the members of our community in need.
